How do I access the 3D Animal Experiences?

  1. Purchase a Great Australian Wildlife Book together with the day’s paper.
  2. On your mobile device launch your web browser, Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android) and type in www.wildlife3d.com.au to get started.
  3. Scan the centre page featuring the 3D Australia Icon – This will launch the 3D Animal Experience for that particular book.

Is it a different website for each book?

  • No, the image that you scan: determines what experience you see. So visit www.wildlife3d.com.au and get started.

How do I view a different experience if I have already activated one?

  • Simply tap on the ‘Magic Book’ icon found in the bottom right of your screen. Open to the centre spread of the book you wish to view and scan the page.

What do I do if I lose the 3D animal experience from my screen?

  • You have run into a tracking error, tap on the reset button in the top centre of your screen, allowing you to reposition your 3D animal experience.
It is best to avoid white, bright surfaces with minimal contrast as your device may not identify this as a flat surface.

My 3D animal experience is moving and blinking as I get closer or move around it.

The experience has unexpectedly closed when loading.

  • This may have been caused by; poor device reception, check that you have strong Wi-Fi or Cellular connection and then open your web browser again.
If this re-occurs, you may need to restart your device. Please, refer to manufacturers website for further instructions.

My device is not scanning the page and activating the experience?

  • Make sure you are scanning the correct page of the book, remember it is the page in the centre of the book featuring the 3D Australia Icon.
  • Remember to scan only the page with this icon, but not too close.
  • Refer to the How-to video above, for more info on getting started.

This is not an exhaustive list of every device available that supports WebAR; however, this list covers the most popular mobile devices used in Australia, as of the past 12 months. Most modern mobile devices, both phones and tablets, should support these experience.

You could try to locate a Book from another participating retailer. The Books are available only while stocks last. Stock is not held at head office to send out in the case of sell-outs. For a full list of participating retailers, please click here
Collect as many as you like as long as you make multiple purchases of the newspaper. For example, if you would like two book sets, you will need to purchase two copies of the paper to receive two original hard copy (not digital) tokens to redeem.
Please take your damaged book to the participating newsagents, IGA or Drakes supermarket where the paper/ book was purchased and ask for a replacement. If stock is unavailable at the participating newsagent, IGA or Drakes supermarket, please contact the National Customer Service Centre at 1800 630 130.
Please return the hard copy newspaper to the participating retailer where you purchased the newspaper, explain the situation and ask for a replacement copy with the token intact.
Due to limited stock, we advise you visit your participating retailer as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. This collection is available to order online for our +Rewards members.
Your participating Newsagent, IGA or Drakes supermarket may have back copies of the newspaper on hand.
You can try another participating retailer. Alternatively, you can take your token to your participating newsagent the next day or any day of the week until Monday February 22, 2021. Note: Offer is available only while stocks last so it is advisable to try another outlet that day.
You can buy your paper anywhere and take the hard copy (not digital) token from the newspaper to any participating retailer to redeem your Book/ Collector’s Case. For a full list of participating retailers, please click here.
As stock is strictly limited, it is advised you redeem each token on the day it is printed to avoid possible sell-outs.
